Today, in Europe, we are challenged to generate insights and evidence from real-world clinical data at scale, to support patients, clinicians, governments, and the pharmaceutical industry in understanding wellbeing, disease, treatments, outcomes, and new therapeutics and devices.

In response to this, the European Health Data & Evidence Network (EHDEN) has established a vast network of Data Partners and SMEs to support them in order to accelerate mapping health data from various formats and institutions to the OMOP Common Data Model. The OMOP CDM is the industry standard for integrating observational data from health databases into a common format (data model), and as a common representation (terminologies, vocabularies, coding schemes), to then perform systematic analyses.

Truewind is a well-established global solutions provider and a leading OutSystems Partner, specialised in guiding and accelerating the customers’ journey through their digital transformation. Truewind was one of the twenty-three SMEs from 11 different countries to be selected from a pool of 40 eligible applications to become EHDEN certified during EHDEN’s third open call in May 2021.

“We are thrilled to receive this Certification, which is a recognition of our capacity for handling complex clinical data. We believe we can make a real impact by working with health organisations on processing health data, from PROMs collection for lifestyle pathways to complex phenotyping and data anonymisation. We want to help transform healthcare under a VBHC framework, guided by the OMOP standard”. – says Mário da Silva Gaspar, Head of Research & Innovation at Truewind.

The EHDEN project received funding from the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 806968. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and EFPIA.
